Jeri Taylor joined Star Trek: The Next Generation as supervising producer in 1990 and held the position through the fifth season, since 1992 she served as co-executive producer of the series, for the 1993-94 season as executive producer. She is writer, producer, and editor of many Star Trek: Deep Space 9 episodes and the co-creator of Star Trek: Voyager. She retired in 1998, handing over her position of Executive Producer to Brannon Braga.

Taylor received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Indiana University in 1959, and her Master's degree in English from California State University at Northridge.

She is also the mother of regular Voyager guest star Alexander Enberg.
